The "isolation, schlepping and separating" - yes that, that's it exactly! Thanks so much for the encouragement - it means a lot!

Just keepin' it real and finding the humor along the way! So glad it gave you a chuckle and in the immortal words of Homer Simpson, "I'm (never) tired of making other people feel better about themselves." (That laundry hasn't moved, by the way, since I took the picture...sigh...)

Oh girl. I totally hear you on this post! Thanks for sharing a picture of your laundry room (even though mine's worse, it still made me feel better haha) :-)

Lisa-Jo, I just had to chime in here. I'm no longer walking in those hard to fill shoes of full-time work, all-the-time mom, but I remember those Sunday night blues so well. And my heart just went out to you when I read your post. I related to it all--the endless expectations we put on ourselves and the mean highways that won't scoot over to make room for us, and the schlepping and separating...And even the feeling of isolation because most of our "Christian mom friends" are all staying home with their kids.
I just wanted to tell you to hang in there, and to keep savoring those weekends (and sometimes skipping church without guilt!), and know that while this season is one of the hardest, God sees how you give your all and counts it toward His glory.
