I still have a beautiful finger painted heart with a note on it for a gift I gave one of my co-workers. Mom had her 3 year old finger paint some pictures on plain white paper - using pinks and reds. When the paint was dry, she later cut out hearts big enough to write a small thank you note on. She punched a hole and used ribbon to make a gift tag. Super cute... they could also be used for Valentine's gifts or any fun little notes for special family members. Easy to mail & the kids really feel part of the process since they "decorate" the hearts. -- BTW - I am totally with the indoor fort ideas! Blankets over tables or couch cushions up ended with a blanket over the top... fun building. Burrow underneath with a flashlight for each kid & it's a great time!
