Love me a man who

February 25, 2010

Love me a man who has some baseball-mitt sized hands.

Love me a man who knows more about my homeland than I do.

Love me a man who loves him our boys.

Love me a man who sees heaven in a cinnabon, a Sunday afternoon nap, and me without my make up.

OK, your turn…

Love Me a Man Who

…researches autism therapies when I’m too overwhelmed to think.

…thinks writing is sexy. and noble.

…taught me how to pray, leads me in worship at home, and guides my heart.

…doesn’t hold back with his grief, cries with me, misses with me, and waits with me.

Who cares more than the textbooks tell him to,
Who feels more at home in a flight suit than a business suit,
Who makes the kids squeal with laughter,
Who lights up the room,
Who knows the real me and loves me anyway.
