Sometimes it's easier

February 3, 2010

Sometimes it’s easier to talk about faith than to wrestle with it.

Sometimes it’s easier to love your kids than to pray for them.

Sometimes it’s easier to clean your house than to face your mess.

Sometimes it’s easier to say you believe than to do what you believe.

Sometimes it’s easier to run than to stand and fight.

OK, your turn….

Sometimes it’s easier to finish the bag of chips then to put them away.

Just kidding, I know I’m supposed to be serious …

Sometimes it’s easier to be right than to be righteous.

You’re funny! Serious is not a prerequisite. Right vs righteous – that’s very good stuff though!

Sometimes it’s easier to sit in a chair and holler at the kids than to get up and actually do something about it.
(kinda funny, but kinda true at the same time…some days)
It’s also sometimes easier to talk to my kids(or others) about what’s right than to show them by my own actions.

Neat idea for a post. :-)

This evening, I let my guys fight it out instead of getting up and doing something about it (I was actually reading this post, hmmm…). I finally had to do something when both boys started biting each other. Lesson learned? The point of this post -somemes the easy thing is not the right thing.

Sometimes it’s easier to be faithful than it is to really have faith.

Sometimes it’s easier to be trustworthy than it is easily trust.

Good thoughts, and being right versus being righteous, that’s a good one to chew on!

Sometimes it’s easier to try to “fix” your children than love them the way God made them.

2. Sometimes it’s easier to pony tail dirty hair when kids have you on the go and so does your bath. :)

3. Sometimes it’s easier to eat chocolate cake than to deprive the crave. (refer to #1)

4. Sometimes it’s easier to blog than do the dishes. (Did I just say that?)

5. Sometimes it’s easier to watch a reality show and find your reality ain’t so bad afterall. ;-)

Keep this just between us, but sometimes it’s easier to tell them to use their sleeve than find a tissue! Especially in the car!

And it’s easier to say “I’ll pray for you” than to actually pray.

I’m loving the ones about potato chips and buying bigger pants. Mine?

Sometimes it’s easier to do things myself than let my kids do them (even if the kids really need to learn how).

We’re all livin’ that dream – hard to kiss the teen years good-bye in the heart when they’ve already departed the thighs!

Sometimes it’s easier to close your eyes than to watch a toddler smear peanut butter in his hair.

Sometimes it’s easier to wallow in your crap than to give it over to God.

Sometimes it’s easier to agree on ice cream at 10am than to argue about it all day long.

Somtimes it’s easier to be angry than to figure out what you’re angry about.

Yes, why is wallowing so much more attractive? Is it because it’s it’s own kind of ignorant peanut-buttering smearing avoidant bliss?

Okay, I typed it then had to erase. I couldn’t. But it did have to do with my hubby’s bvd’s.

I will focus on the righteous one.

Such good questions.

Sometimes it’s easier to nag at my husband for the small things that he has done wrong than to brag about my husband for the great things that he does right.

I know I’m late joining the conversation…trying to get a house ready to put on the market is the pits! Maybe I’ll work on my own blog again sometime…. :)
