Four for the last time: Welcome Zoe Grace!

March 21, 2011

I didn’t know when I started this post that by the time I finished it we’d be five.

That Spring and life would come three days early for us.

That we only had one more day without her.

I didn’t know how far and deep and wide I could still fall in love. Even though we’d been waiting. Even though we’d known for years that there was still someone missing from our family. Even though we’ve been anticipating her.

I didn’t know.

Until she came.

How much we’d been missing.

What a beautiful thing it is when the one you felt you were missing finally arrives! I felt the exact same way when my Joshua got here and he captured all our hearts from the start! Sweet Zoe Grace is gettin’ some serious lovin’ and it’s a beautiful sight! God bless you and your new family of 5!

Isn’t it amazing how we don’t know the day before we have them? I know that sounds like a ‘duh’ kind of statement, but I remember February 7, 2011 the day before I had Isabella. I was tired, crabby, and frankly felt like crap. Who knew that it would be the last day I would be pregnant?!?

Congratulations sweet friend! There is nothing like bringing a baby girl home after having a home full of boys. They bring a new sense of joy, laughter and PINK! I’d never had a pinch of pink in my home until I brought my daughter home to her three brothers. I remember too, the pitch of her cry made me laugh the first time I heard it, because it was so different then her brothers.
