The end of the week – a good time for few words.
Want to take five minutes with me and see which ones bubble to the surface?
Let’s just write and not worry if it’s just right or not. Here’s how we do it:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat with no editing or tweaking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in {you can grab the button code in my right side bar}
3. Go and tell the person who linked up before you what their words meant to you. Every writer longs to feel heard. {And if you love us, consider turning off word verification for the day to make it easier for folks to leave you some encouragement}
It’s a great way to exhale at the end of a beautiful week.
And for added fun I always throw into the pot something special from DaySpring. I love them and they love you – so much so that…
DaySpring’s created a coupon code just for Gypsy Mama readers! Enter GYPSY20 at checkout and you’ll get 20% off your purchase – including sale items!
Last week the card organizer of her choice went to Five Minute Artist #30 Kimberly!
This week the joy ride plaque is up for grabs.
OK, are you ready? Give me your best five minutes for the prompt:
Wonder…
You make all things good. You take the broken bits and pieces of our stories and solder them into stained glass. You hurl your whole heart of love at us with all the force of the cosmos and shine beauty and truth and wonder through the glass of our lives.
Pink, blue, purple, scarlet- I radiate your whole rainbow of extravagant love. It ripples over these boys in their bunk beds and this baby girl curled up at my feet on a hand me down pillow that she loves. It hangs over the man that sleeps on the floor next to the boy with the bad dreams and snores softly alongside their favorite radio station and all the stuffed animals.
I hold in my heart this family and all the radiant wonder of having carried three of them in my body. I ache with the simplicity of this kind of joy. Who could have told me six years ago that it was possible. That my life would reflect what you saw in me then. What was buried under layers of lost misunderstanding of motherhood, locked away in places only you could find.
Buried treasure. Thank you for giving it back to me. The wonder that I was the child I bore deep inside. That you gently raised into the woman I am today.
STOP.
On Monday we leave for home and South Africa! The last time we were back our three and a half year old was a newborn; I can’t wait to take you with me! Be sure and keep in touch so you can follow along:

Beautiful. I love looking back in wonder and seeing God’s hand in my life too. I look back to 10 years ago and am still in awe of how He is capable of taking a mess and making it beautiful. Thanks for this topic and for this reminder.

Thanks! It’s neat to see which way everyone took their writings on wonder….from wondering about what comes next in life to the awe inspiring wonder of a babe just born or pondering on the Creator’s wonderful masterpiece we call earth. Fantastic!

This is beautiful, Lisa Jo. And this made me gasp: “You hurl your whole heart of love at us with all the force of the cosmos.”
