Fun idea. Here’s my 5 minutes:
Stillness. Silence. Waiting. Waiting on God for the answer to a promise. Like Simeon. Age didn’t matter. Still devoted despite his advancing years. I want to be like that. And God will sustain me even in my old age. He will keep me safe. Like a baby, snuggled in the arms of its mother. When all the screaming has died down. Well-fed. Peaceful. I want to be well-fed and peaceful – well-fed with the Bread of life. Well-fed and nourished by the things Jesus says. I want others to be nourished, too. Freshness. Wholeness. God – the only One who can satisfy. I want to rest in the shadow of the Almighty – with His canopy spread over me. Protected. Safe. Still. And I’m still waiting … waiting for that Day. That Day when every promise will be fulfilled. When every tear will be dried. When everything will be Peace.
Just wanted to say a big THANKS for starting and hosting the Five Minute Fridays! It has been an encouragement to read your posts and the posts of the other ladies.
